Shaun Gostelow
(Sound)

Where are you from?

A small village in the county of Hampshire, UK. It's totally unexciting, but a nice, relaxed place to get away from it all. Thankfully London is close enough to travel too for the evening.

Why did you volunteer to help out on sound? Do you have much sound recording experience?

I just wanted to help out and get involved.  I have absolutely no film sound recording experience, but am crazy about music and play with studio equipment, synths, music software, etc.

How did you get involved in Fluffy?

I know the director/cameraman (Henry Burrows) - I work with him at the same company.

Is this your first film, or have you been involved in other films?

I've helped out with some of the other Foiled Productions films - Foiled and Noisy Joe.

Are you a Buffy fan?

Rather embarrassingly I've never seen a full episode of Buffy!  I'm told it's great!!  If I turn the TV on I have trouble turning it off again, so I just don't switch it on.

What have you gained from your involvement in Fluffy?

I only managed to be around for one Fluffy filming day, but I had an absolutely excellent time.  The whole crew was totally up for anything and everyone got on really well.  I hope to meet some of you guys again in the future.

Do you have any claims to fame? (E.g. meeting famous people, appearances on TV / stage etc.)

My pet collie dog was on a crap children's TV show called Greenclaws when I was about 14 years old - does that count?

Any hobbies / obsessions? (Things you enjoy doing)

I enjoying living life to the max!  So anything that involves meeting new people, a new experience or an adrenalin rush and I will be first in the queue.  I think I'm addicted to travelling - luckily I get to travel all over the World as part of my job.

Any amusing acting / sound recording cockups (faux pas) - things going wrong on stage etc.?

Urm, can't think of any off the top of my head.  There are so many during just one day of filming.

Any bizarre talents?

Nope.  Totally talentless I'm afraid :)

Any amusing / mad stories about things you've done, or have happened to you?

The maddest thing I've done is make friends with a father and son team of mafia taxi drivers in Naples, Italy.  They wore jingly gold jewellery, the works.  The train network was paralysed by strikes and I had no way to get to where I needed to go.  Anyway, it all turned out OK as they got me to where I wanted to go.  They didn't even rip me off!

Any achievements you'd like to mention?

Urrrm.. there's nothing relevant I can think of!

Any annoying habits? Are there any things that you say a lot?

I'm told I snore!

Favourite films?

The best film I have seen in a long time was 'Run Lola Run' after a Fluffy filming session around Henry's house.  That film is so intense it's like being on speed.  Human Traffic was a wicked film too.

Favourite director(s) + actor(s) + actress(es)?

No real favourites.

If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would it be?

I'm not really desperate to meet any particular person, but I guess I'd quite like to meet Einstein and see if he really was as clever as he is famed to be.

What's your favourite fluffy thing?

My favourite fluffy thing is my pet German Shepherd dog called Tawny - he has really long fluffy hair.  You can see him at the very end of the credits on another Foiled Productions film called Foiled.  He now lives with my parents in Co. Cork, Ireland :(
