Mark Flitter
(Vampire/Count Stunt Double/Stunt Coordinator/Sound/Lighting)

Where are you from?

I was born at RAF Akrotiri Cyprus, a couple of months before the Turkish invasion.
My Mother tells a story about our evacuation (my father stayed behind as he was in the forces) including gun battles on streets and airlifts in hercules...

Do you have much acting and/or production (stage or TV) experience? What was your acting debut, and how old were you?

I have only amateur experience on both stage and screen. My first show was an improvised piece about chimney sweeps in Victorian England at about age 9.
Singing alternative words to "aga do" haunt me to this day, I loved every minute of it. I have done countless productions since then doing 3 or 4 a year from about 16 until 25 when I went to Belgium for two years. Shortly before I left, I did a training film for my company closely followed by Foiled.

How did you get involved in Fluffy?

It was a follow on from working with Henry on Foiled.

Why did you audition for the part of Vampire #2?

Purely ulterior motives. It would be one less person to show how to fight.....

Is this your first film, or have you been involved in other films?

See above for prose, but I did "Customer Escalation Training" for my company (scintillating entertainment, that was...) and Foiled. I think a few of the stage shows I worked on were taped as well.
Somewhere out there is a tape of me in gigantic fake comedy breasts, a brunhilde wig and a skimpy little sailor's outfit singing a George Michael track......

Are you a Buffy fan?

Have been since the movie (which I actually enjoyed). For me the TV show was the one that had to live up to expectations. So the movie was the hook for me to watch first, but the TV script was superbly funny and didn't take itself quite as seriously as the movie so I stuck with it.

What have you gained from your involvement in Fluffy?

6lbs, bruised shins, Cracked skin from the make up, lots of friends and some very enjoyable memories.

Do you have any claims to fame? (E.g. meeting famous people, appearances on TV / stage etc.)

My brother was on that's life many years ago impersonating Shakin’ Stevens.

Any hobbies / obsessions? (Things you enjoy doing)

Aikido, Scuba Diving, making and consuming Curry.

Any amusing acting / production cockups (faux pas) - things going wrong on stage etc.?

A few, (lots actually) but I’m too embarrassed about them to give details.

Any bizarre talents?

Er, no.

Any amusing / mad stories about things you've done, or have happened to you?

Er, no. How boring of me.

Any achievements you'd like to mention?

Nothing spectacular, I am sorry to say.

Any annoying habits?

Lots I suspect, my biggest is turning up late or not at all when I said I would be somewhere (no malice involved, just a sieve-like memory).

Favourite films?

Koyaanisqatsi
Crash
Metropolis
Wild at Heart
Safety Last
Soylent Green

Favourite director(s) + actor(s) + actress(es)?

Cronenberg
Lynch
Aronofsky

James Spader
Harold Lloyd
Jackie Chan

Christina Ricci
Geena Davis
Holly Hunter

If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would it be?

Harold Lloyd, his films still enthral people worldwide and the humour is genuine. His influence is obvious in modern physical comedy (even Jackie Chan’s).

What's your favourite fluffy thing?

My (somewhat worse for wear) teddy bear, Wokka. So named after Fozzie Bear's catch phrase.
