The German appears in the movie "The Mad Cheesemaker" which is glimpsed briefly on the TV near the start of Foiled, although it's never named. He is owed money by a mad Russian (the cheesemaker from the title of the film) and will not try any of the Russian's cheese until he is paid. Unfortunately the Russian will not pay until the German has tried his cheese. They are about to get into a fight and only one will survive...
