Visual Effects Complete

It's been a while since I last wrote a diary entry, so I thought I'd put a new one up.  Progress has been slow, but steady, over the last month or two.  All the visual effects have been completed, and most of the sound effects are now in place too.  The only things left to do are: alien sound effects, explosion sound effects, weird noises for the second and third dream sequences, and the music.

There's not much to say about the effects - Foiled hasn't required anything too clever.  The main effect that took all the time was the electronic weapon which Foil Man uses to stun his victims.  Each time it's used a stream of blue electrical sparks flow over the person it's used on.  It was a case of editing the sequences frame by frame, painstakingly drawing the effect on each picture... fortunately there aren't too many in the film!

The cast and crew of Sunday Night Zombies
As I mentioned in the previous entry, I went to Toronto and shot a sequel to Saturday Night Zombies.  I've not even thought about editing it yet (Foiled kind of takes precedence), but I'm anticipating a length of around 15 minutes, so it might be a good idea to stick it on the same tape as Foiled - giving us 90 minutes in total.  The story of the shooting of Sunday Night Zombies probably requires a web page all of its own, so I won't say too much here, just that it was shot entirely on location in Toronto and at Niagara Falls and took a full weekend to film.

There's not much else to say, really.  Post-production continues, the end draws ever nearer, and we will get there.  I was hanging around outside the London premiere of The Phantom Menace earlier this week and I took some pictures of the stars of the movie as they arrived - you can find them by clicking here.  It's given me a few ideas for Foiled's premiere later this year...
